Three Indicators of Increased Open Source Software Adoption in the Enterprise | OSA MEMBER INTERVIEW Black Duck Customer Activity: An OSS Bellwether Development tool maker Black Duck reported an annual increase of 142 percent in its customer base in June. Vice President of Marketing Peter Vescuso concurs that the company's sales, along with the frenetic activity of customers using its KnowledgeBase of open source code, are definitely positive signs of open source software adoption at the enterprise level. |  |

| Ingres and Openbravo Win LinuxWorld Product Excellence Awards
Two OSA members earned “Linuxworld Product Excellence Awards” on Tuesday, August 7 – Ingres CAFÉ (Consolidated Application Foundation for Eclipse) won Best Application Development Tool, and Openbravo Network snagged Best Integration Solution.
Ingres CAFÉ was built by developers, for developers, and is designed to enable fast implementation of a Java Development Environment (JDE) by minimizing configuration issues. It is a tool that brings together in one bundle a pre-configured stack of technologies that can be used by community and professional developers to build feature rich Java applications. Given that they are built on Eclipse and Ingres, the applications developed with Ingres CAFÉ can scale from the desktop to the data-center without modification.

It bundles access to certified updates and upgrades, and a bug fixing guarantee to ensure the user is always up-to-date.
